A MEMORIAL AND TRIBUTE TO REV. CLIFF AHART
40 YEARS OF SERVICE AS PASTOR OF THE FIRST CHURCH OF GOD
FT. SMITH, ARKANSAS
December 5th, 1931 - July 9th, 2010
MY TRUSTED FRIEND AND ENCOURAGER
I first met Rev. Cliff Ahart and his wife, Jean, in the year of 1998. Instantly friends, they suggested I call them Brother Cliff and Sister Jean.
Hoping for a quiet time, they had set aside an afternoon to read my notes, poems and the messages and visions given to me by the Holy Spirit. (Years later he wrote the music for all but three of my poems.)
Rev. Ahart was the first to suggest that I put them in book form as a source of healing for those who are experiencing heartache and those who are in spiritual need. At that time, I told him it was impossible. But in the years that followed, the Holy Spirit instilled within me the strength and the courage to see my book, “The Years of Tears and His Glory,” published in July of 2003.
Server of God, friend and enthusiastic supporter to me, as well as others, we miss you.
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord,
the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but
unto all them also that love his appearing.” II Timothy 4:7-8 KJV
