Helen's Songs of Faith -- For Your Listening Pleasure
I grew up in a small, quiet town with shady streets, sidewalks that were chalk marked by children playing games, and folks who thought nothing at all of walking almost everywhere.
When I was about nine years old, my family moved to a small house that was just across the street from the Grace Methodist Church.
Some of my fondest memories are of the church people who loved me, and encouraged me to sing in the choir. And, more often than not, for me to sing "The Sunday Special." There were no microphones, not even one, but the acoustics were such that our voices were heard clearly through the opened stained glass windows by those who lived nearby.
The hymns listed here were "double recorded" in the 50's, and are the only remaining "survivors" of the many taped programs that were aired weekly over a local radio staton.
In those days recording sessions took place in the living room of our home. "Double Recording" was a new technique at that time, and our procedures and equipment were primitive by today's standards. The tapes were eventually packed in a cardboard box and stored in the attic for more than 50 years. They have been restored to the quality you will hear today.

"When you need me remember all I have taught you is as near as an angel's touch.
Cleansing tears bring joy through the healing of smiles." The Holy Spirit (9/19/2007)
