Please accept my invitation to join me. Take a few moments from your busy day, pour a cup of coffee, tea or whatever pleases you ... and just relax. I hope that my stories will put a smile on your face and peace in your heart. For I have, personally, found it to be true that “God does work in mysterious ways,” if we will just listen when He speaks to our hearts.
God is pleased when we seek His favor, and He blesses those who earnestly seek His presence. This was a very difficult lesson for me to accept, but as I look back on those years of pain and heartache, I am thankful that He was so patient with me.
It was in the year of 1996, after my husband, Jim, had passed away, that I began my search to renew and build a deeper relationship with the Lord. I knew very little about the Holy Spirit, but in my brokeness, He knew me. Through His inner “nudgings,” I began to write and by mid-year 2000, a manuscript, "The Years of Tears and His Glory," was in rough draft form.
It was then that I met Charles Kircher, and our friendship was formed. After a time, I told him about my future plans and my desire to publish. He offered to help me, and we began our work together. He told me about his personal efforts in publishing a monthly Newsletter for his Sunday School Class (The JOY Class) of the First Baptist Church. He asked, “Would you write something for the Newsletter?” A bit more confident now, I replied, “I may be able to write one story for you.” My first, which is included here, “God’s Promise,” and my continued writing for the JOY Class Newsletter formed a bond between us, which led to our marriage in December of 2001 and the publishing of my book in 2003.
If you are the receiver of His “nudgings,” listen to your heart, and He will lead you in a way that you never dreamed possible. He delights in our obedience, and He will give favor and His blessings to those who earnestly seek His presence.
May your life experience His richest blessings and warm your heart.
In His Name and for His Glory,
Helen J. (Snider) Kircher
